so on saturday night i was wanting to go out and do something. i wanted something like maybe a smoothie or just something from a good coffee shop. i've been kinda burnt out on starbucks lately cause it's the closest thing and you have to drive like 15 mins or more for something different. anyways so a friend, amber, and i were thinking about where to go and deciding as we drove. well, it ended up we just drove downtown to the plaza to go to latteland. it was great. just what i needed. something different. loved the different atmosphere feeling. we sat down at bar height seats along the street side windows. there was a magazine on all the different events/art/music things that go on downtown. we just started looking through it and thought it would be so awesome to live down there because you would know more on what was going on in the city.

so i've just been thinking the past couple days how awesome that would be to live downtown. this is my dream kinda--when i get out of school i have to teach in a high-need subject area for at least four years at a school serving low-income students because i have this TEACH grant helping me through school. it's like a loan that you pay back through working in a school serving to low-income students. anyways, i could just live downtown, teach at a school in the area. then, at nights i could work at a coffee shop or just hang out there. this all depends on what happens over the next few years, but i wouldn't be against this option by any means.

i have so much to do this week. studying for last unit tests, writing a paper, all of the end of the year things. i am going to take a short nap first. i had a sore throat yesterday and i know i just need more sleep. i got maybe 11 hours last night; felt good but i think i'm still behind.

i think i'll be updating more this week. always seems when i'm the most busy i always decide to put blogging in with the mix.

summer

summer starts 2 weeks from today. just bizarre. i'm sure markli was glad to hear my summer plans have changed. (going home) we had fun this weekend during some of the max and wof time. it was good.

finishing up papers and reports and starting to study for the last tests of the year is just not the most exciting thing.

i really need a job and money to pay for things. not extra things, just the basics. ha. i mean it will be nice to buy a new shirt or something every once in a while again. two more weeks and hopefully i'll have one if not two jobs.

can't wait for time with all of my family. even if it's not all at the same time. spread throughout the summer is just fine for me. LOVE YOU

i always thought it was pretty cheesy at the beginning of the year when everyone at mnu was saying how their favorite thing about mnu was the "community". i'd have to say they are right, but i wouldn't have told you so much first semester. it's been a good second semester here. just getting to know a lot of people.

only 2 and a half weeks of school left. crazy. and great. my next semester class schedule is done. feels nice to not have to worry about that anymore.

change of summer plans. going home to work and save and work but still for sure going to live with my sister for 2ish weeks in august. that will be awesome. and some friends might road trip with me too which will be even better for the long drive.

haven't blogged in a while. i'll try and keep up with it this week. no classes tomorrow so i'll be working on this online class that i need to finish up. then markli and dad come for max and world's of fun. i'm going to WOF now, hope it's not rainy and cold though.

well, this week is kind of crazy. it is a short week because of easter break, but i have to get something (kind of major) done each day. yesterday it was finishing a paper, getting ready to present on it at 8 this morning, and studying for a fine arts test--which was a rather tuff. today i need to read half of a book and write a report. then i'm going to nicole's recital tonight and go watch some intramural games. tomorrow i have to write up a report on the symphony that i went to last friday. then i'll be done. i think.

i'll head home either thursday evening or friday morning. mom asked me to sing in the easter musical. we'll see. currently my next door neighbor, not sure which one, is singing. oh boy. just have to keep my music playing.

went to the symphony tonight. it was amazing. those people are incredible musicians. also, i had to go for the fine arts class that i am taking, but really i like this sort of thing. i should do more of those type of things.

people have been mistaking me for a graphic design major lately. i take it as a compliment.

just had some popcorn and coffee after i got back in my room. i was really up to doing something else once we got back, but nothing came up. nbd.

talked with a friend today about friends. like we have to make sure we give all of our friends time. like to keep that friendship. just gets complicated sometimes. and it does take a lot of time. a complex situation when you think about it.

have to hurry. need to charge my computer soon--otherwise i might have blogged a little more. well, tomorrow night i will.
